Was hat mich an beiden Frauen besonders beeindruckt?
Es ist einerseits die natürliche Verbundenheit mit Christus im Alltag und andererseits das mutige Bekennertum, welches von Beharrlichkeit, Tapferkeit, Opferbereitschaft, Durchhaltevermögen sowie tiefer Spiritualität getragen und von intellektuellem Weitblick, der weit in die Zukunft hineinreicht, geprägt ist.
Es ist eine Form der Emanzipation, die unerhört, heroisch und geradezu kühn erscheint. Trotzdem vollzieht sich diese Haltung in größter Demut vor dem Herrn und im Gehorsam gegenüber Seiner heiligen Kirche.
Diesen Spannungsbogen zu betreten und sich darauf souverän zu bewegen: Das ist es, was die Faszination dieser historischen Gestalten ausmacht.
Christsein bedeutet oft, mutig zu sein, einsame Entscheidungen zu treffen, Widerständen zu trotzen, neue Pfade zu beschreiten, unbeirrt an jenen Überzeugungen festzuhalten, die man als wahr und richtig erkannt hat - und all das mit großem Herzen und großer Liebe zum Erlöser zu tun.

What impressed me most about both women?
On the one hand, it is their natural connection with Christ in everyday life, and on the other hand, their courageous profession of faith, which is sustained by perseverance, bravery, a willingness to sacrifice, endurance, and deep spirituality, and characterized by an intellectual vision that reaches far into the future.
It is a form of emancipation that seems unprecedented, heroic, and even audacious. Yet, this stance is carried out with the utmost humility before the Lord and in obedience to His holy Church.
To enter this arc of suspense and to navigate on it with sovereignty: that is what makes these historical figures so fascinating.
Being a Christian often means being courageous, making solitary decisions, defying resistance, forging new paths, steadfastly holding fast to those convictions that one has recognized as true and right — and doing all this with a big heart and great love for the Redeemer.

Ce qui m'a le plus impressionnée chez ces deux femmes ?
D'une part, leur lien naturel avec le Christ au quotidien, et d'autre part, leur courageuse profession de foi, nourrie par la persévérance, la bravoure, le sens du sacrifice, l'endurance et une profonde spiritualité, et caractérisée par une vision intellectuelle tournée vers l'avenir.
C'est une forme d'émancipation qui semble inédite, héroïque, voire audacieuse. Pourtant, cette position est adoptée avec la plus grande humilité devant le Seigneur et en obéissance à son Église sainte.
Marcher sur »l´arc de suspense« et le traverser avec souveraineté : voilà ce qui rend ces figures historiques si fascinantes.
Être chrétien, c'est souvent faire preuve de courage, prendre des décisions en solitaire, défier l'opposition, tracer de nouvelles voies, s'attacher fermement aux convictions que l'on a reconnues comme vraies et justes – et faire tout cela avec un grand cœur et un amour immense pour le Rédempteur.

Erst im Laufe der Jahre ist mir bewusst geworden, dass meine Spiritualität eine karmelitische Prägung aufweist. Dabei wurden mir zwei heilige Ordensfrauen immer mehr zum Vorbild: Teresa von Àvila und Teresia Benedicta a Cruce (Edith Stein).
Bei Teresa von Àvila ist es vor allem die Art des persönlichen Umgangs mit Christus, die mich sehr angesprochen hat und auch meine Begegnungen mit Jesus beeinflusst hat.
Die Person Edith Steins ist für mich vor allem wegen ihrer jüdischen Herkunft interessant. Außerdem ist ihre Art, sich zwischen den Religionen zu bewegen und diese gleichzeitig miteinander zu verbinden, für mich spannend und vorbildhaft.
Beide Frauen waren starke, mutige und intelligente Persönlichkeiten, die durch ihr Denken und Handeln bis in die heutige Zeit hineinwirken und Menschen innerlich bewegen und geistlich inspirieren können.
Sie haben einen geistlichen Weg vorbereitet, auf welchem auch ich meine Fußspuren hinterlassen darf. Dieser Weg ist für mich Herausforderung und Ermutigung zugleich. Mit Gottes Hilfe ist nichts unmöglich!

Only over the years have I become aware that my spirituality has a Carmelite character. Two holy nuns have increasingly become my role models: Teresa of Ávila and Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein).
With Teresa of Ávila, it is above all her personal relationship with Christ that has deeply resonated with me and influenced my own encounters with Jesus.
Edith Stein is particularly interesting to me because of her Jewish heritage. Furthermore, her ability to navigate between religions and connect them is both fascinating and exemplary.
Both women were strong, courageous, and intelligent individuals whose thoughts and actions continue to have an impact today, moving people deeply and inspiring them spiritually.
They paved a spiritual path on which I, too, am privileged to leave my mark. This path is both a challenge and an encouragement for me. With God's help, nothing is impossible!

Ce n'est qu'au fil des années que j'ai pris conscience de la dimension carmélitaine de ma spiritualité. Deux religieuses sont devenues des modèles pour moi : Thérèse d'Avila et Thérèse-Bénédicte de la Croix (Edith Stein).
Chez Thérèse d'Avila, c'est avant tout sa relation personnelle avec le Christ qui a profondément résonné en moi et influencé ma propre rencontre avec Jésus.
Edith Stein m'intéresse particulièrement en raison de ses origines juives. De plus, sa capacité à naviguer entre les religions et à les relier est à la fois fascinante et exemplaire.
Ces deux femmes étaient fortes, courageuses et intelligentes, et leurs pensées et leurs actions continuent d'influencer les esprits aujourd'hui, touchant profondément et inspirant spirituellement.
Elles ont tracé un chemin spirituel sur lequel j'ai, moi aussi, le privilège de laisser ma trace. Ce chemin est pour moi à la fois un défi et une source d'encouragement. Avec l'aide de Dieu, rien n'est impossible !
